Residential Grants

Homeowners, including private landlords, can avail of the SEAI Solar PV Grant (Solar Grant) of up to €1,800 for solar panel and battery storage installation.

 

To qualify, the home must have been built and occupied before December 31, 2020, with no prior solar PV grant received at the same MPRN.

 

The grant is provided as a rebate within 4-6 weeks after installation, with a pre-approval system ensuring peace of mind.


Funding includes €800 per kWp for the first 2kWp and €250 per kWp for additional capacity up to 4kWp.

Agricultural Grants

TAMS Support

Eligible applicants can receive a 60% grant (up to €90,000) under the TAMS scheme for solar PV investments. Installers must be SEAI-registered or approved by DAFM. Home and Agri Energy is an SEAI-registered solar installer.

TAMS now supports up to 11kW solar PV for dairy, beef, tillage, and sheep farms, alongside 40% support for the pig and poultry sector without the 11kW limit.

Financial Returns

Solar PV systems have low maintenance costs, requiring cleaning every 10 years, with panel output declining by 1% per year.

Most systems work with the mains supply, reducing grid energy use. If your demand is 20kW and your PV generates 5kW, you import only 15kW. At 18c per kWh, displacing 10,000kWh saves €1,800.
